« Urban lights contacts »

An interactive sensorial work by Scenocosme: Grégory Lasserre and Anaïs met den Anext

A challenge exploring each person's perception of his fellow. Skin contact between members of the public results in changing light and sound.

Faced with a situation in which touch generates energy fields rendered audible and visible, we can explore the degrees of proximity we share with our neighbours or with strangers.

This work has previously been shown at the Aurora Outdoor New Media Art Exhibition (Dallas), at the French Embassy in Ireland (Dublin), White Night (Bucharest), and at the Biennale Internationale Design (Saint Etienne).

Husband and wife artists Grégory Lasserre and Anaïs met den Ancxt use digital technology attempting to distill from it the essences of dream and poetry.

Their installations have been exhibited in many museums and festivals on five continents. The Universal Exhibition of Shanghai, the White Nights of Toronto, Halifax, Singapore, Brussels, Brighton, Amiens, Segovia, Bucarest ; the Lyon Light Festival. And in many art centres: MONA (Australia), MUDAC, Claude Verdan Foundation  (Lausanne), Lanchelevici museum (Belgium), Kibla (Slovenia), Banff Centre (Canada), Villa Romana (Florence), Utsikten Kunstsenter (Norway), Watermans (UK), Arts Centre of Enghien-les-Bains, La Gaîté Lyrique (France), etc.
